So not a whole lot new is going on around here. My mother in law is here currently and my father in law comes on Friday. It's been nice having someone to cook dinner since Sonic gets old after a while! :-)
I'm working on typing up the whole birth story and will post that complete with pictures sometime before Bruce turns one...but don't hold me to it!
Things are pretty calm around here. Bruce really is a good baby. He doesn't cry that much and sleeps between 3-5 hours at a time at night. During the day he eats every 2 hours, but he's going longer and longer stretches a night. He sure does eat a lot though!! When I give him a bottle he eats 3.5 - 4 oz. and still acts hungry. I was concerned I wasn't feeding him enough because he always acts hungry, but the doctor reassured me he's DEFINITELY eating enough. When we went in last Friday he weighed in at 12 lbs. 10 oz. He's such a cutie though. He LOVES to cuddle. We joke that he's trying to get back inside because he keeps pushing his way against you like he wants in!
His aunts really love him too. They finally got to meet him. Lindsay got to come in on Sunday for the afternoon and love on him and Karen came in last week when school got out and got to hug all over him. Karen loves to squash his cheeks, which in actuality we all do. They're just so smushy!
Here are a few pictures. Hope I didn't bore you too much. Afterall, this blog is really for my benefit and not yours. JK. I am using it as my journal since I'm way too lazy to actually be one of those good moms and journal. I have started writing in a baby book...we'll see how far I get. I also still have not actually mailed my thank you notes. I have them all written but not all addressed and definitely not mailed. I knew Stefany was going to show me up and have hers all done before me.
And one last tidbit. I may be back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but a woman should definitely not go shopping when she just had a baby four weeks ago. Things have shifted and trying on clothes was very depressing. Oh well, something to look forward to...a shopping spree that is!
Bruce heading out to check the mail with Daddy:
Auntie "K" getting to hold him for the first time:
Daddy and Bruce chilling:
Auntie "L" was having way too much fun rolling up his sleeves and laughing at him. She said he looked like a little man who had just come home from a long day at work. Note the popped collar and all! :-)
